Recently I came across one of my old writable CDs which contained decades old photographs. Perusing through them I noticed something, there were quite a bit of architectural photographs. Only a few of them I actually remember taking, the rest of them were a warm and fuzzy surprise. My friend and I would walk around the city, the woods, or cemeteries and take pictures.  Whether you shoot a few dozen or one hundred of photos at a stint you’re not going to remember them all.

Originally these pictures were taken for fun, as kind of a hobby, with cheap and half functional equipment. Also this was during a time when I had zero understanding or knowledge of the craft. I just felt it was all about the lines and balance within the composition.

My career was heading towards design and marketing, coupled with my two degrees in that field. This felt like the obvious choice. Though it seems fate had other plans, and due to several suggestions and a crippling student loan debt, I started to dabble in photographing Real Estate. It wasn’t until then I realized how much I enjoyed doing this.

Over ten years later I’m still photographing dwellings, structures and monoliths. As I mentioned before, it’s about the lines and balance. Even on my down time I’m out there photographing buildings and spaces. This is not only a means for survival, I live for this shit.

These architectural photographs represent my early roots in the field. I decided to post them here to exhibit my instinctual desire and love for composing, and capturing architecture.
